On July 21, Goodix announced its new GT9926 flexible OLED touch controller is entering mass production, with flagship and gaming smartphones set to adopt the chip in the second half of 2026.

The chip features an internally restructured hardware architecture, delivering 480Hz regular multi-finger sampling and a 4000Hz peak sampling rate – significantly reducing touch response latency for competitive gaming scenarios like rapid scoping and aiming.

Key upgrades include a dedicated hardware noise-reduction circuit that doubles the signal-to-noise ratio versus the previous generation, plus optimized self-capacitance and mutual-capacitance parameters for multi-finger scenarios. Combined with Goodix’s gaming tuning algorithm, the chip ensures smooth tracking during fast swipes and sustained high-intensity gaming.

Goodix’s Q1 2026 revenue came in at RMB 969 million (-8.95% YoY) , with net profit of RMB 117 million (-10.01% YoY) , reflecting weak consumer demand. The company’s portfolio spans touch sensing, wireless connectivity, audio, security, and NFC for smart devices, IoT, and automotive applications.

From ICgoodFind: 4000Hz touch + flexible OLED = gaming-grade response. Goodix just raised the bar for flagship touch latency – and H2 shipments will tell if demand follows performance.
